Unique: The unit utilises a sonic frequency (please note this is not electromagnetism) to physically alter the hardness. Calcium ions are converted into a fine powder, which will not bond to surfaces and is easily flushed or wiped away. The ECO-13 Hard Water Treatment Unit will not remove any of the essential minerals, considered good for you, in your water, such as the calcium which creates harness. The sonic frequency of 9 – 10 oscillations per second is the mosteffective way of breaking down hard scale in domestic and commercial pipe work, and keeping it scale free. The ECO-13 Hard Water Treatment Unit uses Sonic frequency which ensures that water is kept treated for up to 7 days, whereas electromagnetism based units can only treat for 48 hours before it resorts to its original state.
Removes: Scale from water. The ECO-13 Hard Water Treatment Unit differs from all other domestic or commercial water softening options as it can be used in the control of Legionella. This is due to the fact that the sonic frequency waves break into the nuclei of bacteria (including Legionella) and increase chlorine’s effectiveness in killing off waterborne bacteria. However this is a by-product of the system and not a quantifiable feature.

How it works: Within 2 days: The ECO-13 action immediately starts to soften scale in the complete hot and cold water system. People often notice an immediate difference with skin feeling softer and hair more silky. Within 4 days: Scale begins to come off the boiler immersion heater. Small particles may be seen in the water from a “hot” tap. Within 12 days: It should be noticeably easier to wipe clean ceramic, plastic, glass and metal surfaces. By now you should have reduced the quantity of foam oils used in the bath, softening agent in the washing machine and washing up liquid. Scale should be starting to soften on the shower pipe and rose and in the kettle if it is used frequently. Within 15 days: Scale should be flaking off the element of the kettle and shower rose if frequently used. The thermostat for water boilers can be turned down, and a better water flow should be experienced throughout the water system. Within 30 days: Scaly crusts in a WC and under taps in the basin will be easier to remove. No new stain or crust should form, slight calcium residues may form but these will easily wipe off. Mould will begin to disappear on your shower curtains and will not reappear if cleaned off. Your hot water thermostat can often be turned down yet again. Onwards: Gradually, as the existing scale is removed from the fibres of clothes in the wash, they will retain or recover their natural colour and softness.
